The Revolution Begins
Once the revolution started, was there any going back?
After Lexington and Concord, the world changed. Colonists were willing to die for independence. At the same time the southern colonies resisted being pulled into the war. As the fighting in New England intensified, the call for full independence from Britain became louder and louder.
Full fledged revolt became the policy of the Americans after the passage of the Declaration of Independence.
Students will identify and describe the course of the early Revolutionary War period.
