WHow can you relate one of the five themes of geography to Indonesia?
Assignment Instructions You will create a presentation for the class about one of the five themes of geography as it relates to modern-day Indonesia. There are a few resources in the column to the right. You are also encouraged to find resources useful to you. Check the requirements for the assignment at the bottom of this page. I will post the links to the presentations above the rubric near the bottom of this page. Each presentation will need to include about six well-written paragraphs. That means that each group member will be responsbile for about one paragraph. I strongly suggest you designate one person as your designer, one as your editor and the others as a reporter. I dont recommend everyone edit one or two slides. it will probably work out better if you just put your copy and possibly photos on the slide and then let the designer build them. Please avoid low contrast colors and an abundance of fonts. Be sure to include abundant examples, graphics, illustrations, and maps. If you do not complete this step, you will not receive credit. The Five Themes of Geography are as follows:
Slide One - Your title slide Include the names of your group members and theme of geography you are going to use. Slide Two Explain your theme of geography Tell us what your theme of geography means and how it will apply in your presentation. Slides Three - Twenty Show and explain examples of your theme of geography in Indonesia today. You do not necessarily need to include 17 slides for this section, but you need to be thorough. Remember >> Pick an example and stick with it. You cannot do the enire nation. Do not try. I want you to focus on one area or example and cover it deeply. Slide Twenty-one Give us a well-written conclusion of about 6 lines. Wrap up what you told us.
Rubric Does the presentation follow the format outlined in the instructions? Is the information presented in a clear, coherent way that is free from errors? Is the chosen example covered thoroughly? Have the other students learned from the presentation? Is the presentation interesting? Did it keep class members' attention?
