Who were the people (other than George Washington) that led the war?
Description After all the lessons and discussions, we need to remember that war was made up of people. People who were willing to fight and die for what they believed. In this assignment you are going to create a simple biography of one of the major figures in the war. Objectives Students will identify and describe the contributions of a significant leader of the Revolutionary War. Special instructions Who you choose is up to you, but I do not want you to do a biography of George Washington. His contributions were enormous, and he is covered so often that I don't want to repeat it here. Some Biography Ideas
Vocabulary N/A Rubric This assignment is worth 80 points. There are 10 points extra credit possible for biographies that exceed the expectations on the rubric. One - Completion. Does the biography answer all the questions on the assignment? Two - Quality. Does the biography present thorough and contextual answers? Three - Accuracy. Did the student incorporate the correct use of grammar, punctuation, and syntax? Are the facts stated accurately? Four- Appeal. Is the biography interesting? Does it pull the reader or viewer into its content? |
