Description

From 1850 to 1900 the modern world began to take shape. The European nations were forced to abandon expanding their empire interests in the New World and they set their sights on other parts of the globe.

Throughout the fields of philosophy and science new ideas began to challenge the concepts of the Scientific Revolution.

Objectives

Students will identify and explain the effects of their chosen person or event on the time from 1850 - 1900.

Essential questions

How did the person  you chose change their time?

How were they received by their contemporaries?

How did the person  you chose change our time?

Oh, and please provide us with some background about the person.

Include an essay of about 350 words describing your findings. Share it with me.
