Essential questions What was the balance of world power like in 1491? What was life in the Western Hemsiphere like before the arrival of the Europeans? Who were the dominant empires? What movements were influencing Europe before the discovery of the Western Hemisphere?
Description We are going to look at western Europe and the Americas just before the arrival of the Europeans in the Americas. Objectives Students will identify and explain the answers to the essential questions listed at the top of this section. Instructions Complete the handout.
