What are the national borders, capitals, and landforms of Northern Europe? What has Great Britain contributed to the world, and how have those contributions shaped the world? What forces shaped the land of Great Britain and how is that reflected in the landscape and the ways the land is used today?

Description Great Britain has changed the world and been changed by the world. In this assignment we are going to explore both kinds of changes. When completed your packet will include the following:
Objectives Students will complete the assignment materials they received in class and they will create a documentary piece of evidence about one of two aspects of Great Britain. Essential questions What has Great Britain contributed to the world, and how have those contributions shaped the world? Special instructions Part One >> You need to complete the map and questions you received in class Thursday. You can view them at this link. NOTE >> DON'T NEEDLESSLY WANDER THE WEB! Part Two >> It's deadline time! You work for a newspaper and your editor needs to fill a small hole in the next two editions. They want to do some pieces about Great Britain, and they have assigned you to do it. You will select one question from each category listed below. You will then create a newspaper article about the questions you chose.
The first category - Doggerland and Fossils What evidence exists to support the idea of Doggerland?
The second category - Great Britain's contributions to the world and their impact on mankind What great literary contributions have been made by writers from Great Britain? Use some examples. Rubric See this link for a copy of the writing rubric you received in class.

Doggerland Here is a great link to a survey about Great Britain's contributions to the world. It would be a handy place from which to choose.
